We designed this redevelopment of a Medical Centre Precinct in suburban Brisbane.

    Scope of Project

The project started as a renovation to one of Brisbane’s original ‘day night’ chemists, in Coorparoo. It evolved into a complete redevelopment – including of adjoining sites.  This incorporated a new pharmacy, medical centre, allied health tenancies and a coffee shop.  It also added new basement car-parking.

This is Terry White Chemists’ first development of their own stand alone tenancy.

    Extent of Services

The process involved design, documentation, through to detailed town planning approvals to obtain the best outcome for the development, for the client. It utilised a staged construction process.  Staging allows the existing pharmacy to continue to trade, until their new tenancy had been created. This was a logistical challenge as the new building overlapped the existing.

The Brisbane development also includes the creation of a new coffee shop tenancy.  This is located in an area of space which formerly unused at the frontage of the site. The additional tenancy activates the street frontage of the properties.  This further provides improved amenity for customers and staff alike.
