This home renovation is well underway on site, already, within 6 months of the client approaching us to assist with the project.

Our design involved keeping and re-using much of the existing house fabric.  But designing out many of the issues which detracted from life in the original house: dark, cold, and damp.

The new home is structurally stronger, lighter, warmer (rating at over 9 out of 10 stars for thermal efficiency)

The images on this post are of very early sketches of the design, along with rough and ready photos from site as the works continue.

Further images to follow, along with more detail on the concepts behind this design.

Concept sketch for this home renovation.
A more generous, comfortable and warm home for our clients, now underway on site

Sketch illustration options for a covered outdoor area, with retractable roof. (A more permanent roof is in the current design)

The challenging site included limited solar access (mature trees around) and poor drainage on the flat location of the original house. Our concept design includes ideas to help the clients address these issues
