We designed this generous luxury home, and master planned the site for our clients.

Our focus for this project – driven with our clients – was to achieve a beautiful home with a more sustainable outcome when compared with ‘business as usual’ for generous luxury homes on the Gold Coast.

The project was successful in this aim: achieving a beautiful generous home which achieves 9 stars energy rating.  It also worked to achieve a carbon neutral design.  Importantly this was addressed first through design, including: reuse of materials, reduction of waste, and selecting less carbon intensive materials and systems.  A more thermally stable home design then allows the occupants to reduce ongoing energy use over coming decades.  The final step was for the clients to offset the remaining carbon (as assessed in a formal audit process).

This project received a commendation from the Australian Institute of Architects for Sustainability on the Gold Coast.

It was also shortlisted for the Houses Awards 2023 – Sustainability Category amongst other wonderful homes nationally.
